This encounter is composed of a random number of ghoul-type walkers. While all the Dead Walkers are named "[[Endless Walker]]s", there are actually two different types of Walkers. One is a spear-wielding type, and one which is a hand-to-hand type. This group can be one of the more difficult [[Caravan Encounters]] that can be found on some [[Caravans|caravan runs]]. It can also be encountered on independent player runs with three or more [[Character]]s traveling together, over [[Levels|level]] 9.

Dead Walkers are commonly found on routes running between the [[Hub]] and the [[New California Republic]]. They can also be encountered on routes running from the [[Hub]] to the [[Boneyard|Gun Runners]], and the other way around.

This encounter can be extremely profitable due to how many [[Spear]]s you can get, since each one is holding around twenty [[Sharpened Spear]]s, and all spears can be sold for 60 [[Caps]] in the [[Selling Spears]] repeatable quest in [[Junktown]]. It is possible to make more than 6,000 [[caps]] per [[Caravans|caravan run]], should one have enough [[Carry Weight]] to hold many [[Spear]]s.
